How to do Spiral poetry - a reminder from Phil
I encouraged our aides to record poems on SoundTrap.
- I gave them a sample script to read before their poems,
- I found out it only records X amount, so bought a $48 annual subscription
- I liked soundtrap because it works in a browser and if you don't have to have
garageband...we could use a chromebook if needed. I set the reverb up a bit
and put them in a recording studio (snowball microphone and some sound baffles
given to us from the performing arts folks)

I uploaded the poem up to our sound cloud account and posted it on our blog
I brought the 3D printer out in the main library and for everyone that recorded
a poem, I let them choose to print the title or one line of a poem on a bracelet
using the spiral poem design on Thingiverse. Then, we used customizer to add
the line to the existing design.

When they came back for the bracelet I took their picture with me handing it to them

One of our English teachers loved the idea, so he recorded one and emailed
everyone in the department to do the same. (kind of a challenge) Here is the
flyer I used to promote it

He also suggested we give them a trinket of appreciation representing the
Greek god of poetry. So, towards the end, they also received a dolphin

How to print poetry bracelet from 2018 work around
So, we downloaded http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html
It wanted to save code to the website, but was wrong.
Rod Anadon re wrote the code so that it went to the library on my laptop -
(maybe on the library of my laptop)

I had the design in Open Scan
Customized it, rendered it with Function-F6 and exported it to desktop as STL
Opened the STL in Cura for the Lulzbot6
- Later we didn’t need to do this because customizer worked!
- (Looks like the customizer works in 2019!)
